L’installazione di Salvatore Mauro – Ave Maria esprime magistralmente quel bivio, costante nella storia, in cui l’uomo si trova quando è chiamato a scegliere tra bene e male, vizio e virtù, inferno e paradiso. Teso tra la voglia di emanciparsi attraverso la scienze e la necessità di accecarsi ed affidarsi a meni onnipotenti. Una teca illuminata, piena d’acqua, un inginocchiatoio flesso: “Nelle cose che riguardano Dio, noi crediamo per poter capire, perché se volessimo prima capire per poi credere non riusciremmo né a credere né a comprendere”.

The installation of Salvatore Mauro - Ave Maria masterfully expresses that junction, a constant in history, in which man finds himself when he is called to choose between good and not good, virtue and vice, paradise and hell. Stretched between the desire to emancipate itself through the sciences and the need to rely on entrusting and blinding to all-powerful phenomena. A lighted display case, filled with water, a kneeling-stool: "In things pertaining to God, we believe in order to understand, because if we wanted to first understand and then believe we could not neither believe nor understand."
